MWNUK  responded to the  call for evidence from the Women and Equalities Committee  inquiry into the impact of the rising cost of living on women. This inquiry  examined the impact of the rising cost of living on women, as households continue to come under pressure from increased costs. Some of the recommendations made by MWNUK include:

• The government must a look into food insecurity and provide the most vulnerable women and children with discounts through working with supermarket chains.
• Increased risk of exploitation of women because of the cost of living with women (especially spouses from abroad) being pushed into modern slavery.
• Muslim women who are experiencing domestic abuse are finding themselves having no choice to stay with abusive partners due to cost of living crisis ,  specialist policies must be actioned by the Government to support women facing two crisis’s.
