In April 2020, MWNUK responded to Home Affairs Committee Inquiry into the Home Office's preparation for and response to Covid-19 (Domestic abuse and risks of harm within the home).

Some key issues highlighted included:

- Increase in risk of domestic abuse but difficulties in Muslim women asking for help
- Lack of safe temporary accommodation
- Impact on child maintenance service
- Increased risks of grooming and exploitation
- Increased risks of forced marriage, honour based abuse and FGM
- Increased risk of spiritual abuse
- Lack of culturally sensitive competent counselling service
- Risks of numerous pop up listening sercvices
- Child Maintenance payments not being paid on time by partners
- One parent not allowing the other parent access to children
