April - May 2017
MWNUK delivered 2 events (Sheffield and London) to highlight that forced marriage is against the law and its impact. We also worked with faith leaders to deliver this message to the community. We partnered with the Pakistan Muslim Centre and the London Fatwa Council. The project was funded by the FCO. We also produced awareness raising video presentations in Bengali, Pushto, Arabic and Gujarati, which can be found on our Youtube channel.

MWNUK delivered 3 events in different cities (Birmingham, Middlesborough and Slough) to: a) Highlight that FGM is against the law and its impact. b) Share findings from our research which resulted in the report, Female Genital Mutilation - Affected Communities in Birmingham c) Share our campaign videos on FGM The events in Middlesborough and Slough were funded by Rosa
 
 
 
March 2016
MWNUK delivered 3 events in different cities (two in Birmingham and in Luton) to highlight that forced marriage is against the law and its impact. We also worked with faith leaders to deliver this message to the community. We partnered with the Al Quba Trust and St. Albans Academy. The project was funded by the FCO. We also produced an awareness raising video presentation in Urdu.
 
 
 
Nov to Dec 2015
Violence against women continues to remain under reported and the consequences of not asking for help can be devastating. To mark the annual 16 day campaign to end violence against women from 25th November to 10th December, MWNUK highlighted (through social media) Muslim women that had been murdered on each of these days.
