The CEDAR Mentoring Programme is seeking new Mentors!

 

Next mentoring sessions:
•         Leeds Abu Huraira Mosque: Saturday 10th July 2010, 13:00-18:30 - The Social Enterprise Challenge!
•         Hendon Mosque and Islamic Centre, London: Saturday 24th July 2010, 12.00-17:30 – Presentations and Interviews!

 

CEDAR mentoring offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young Muslims. In partnership with Young Enterprise, the CEDAR Mentoring Programme (UK) reaches out to young people aged 14 - 16 in mosques across the UK. By drawing on their personal experiences CEDAR Mentors inspire and connect with young Muslims, helping them on their individual professional paths and empowering them to think and act strategically around their dreams, skills and career plans. Building on the success of our initial pilot sessions, the next UK session is at the Leeds Abu Huraira Mosque on Saturday 10th July. A further session focussing on interview skills will be taking place at the Hendon Mosque and Islamic Centre in London on Saturday 24th July. Further sessions are to follow at mosques around the country in the coming months.

 

If you are a professional and a Muslim by background or faith, become a mentor for a day and inspire the young people of Leeds and London! Mentors can expect dedicated on-the-day training tailored to the CEDAR-Young Enterprise mentoring programme in addition to material resources and the support of staff responsible for the smooth facilitation of sessions.
