In late 2011 we conducted a strategic review about the goals we wish to achieve, and the activities we will carry out to achieve those goals.

The review and planning process involved both staff and board directors. It also took into account network member priorities and concerns gathered from the vast number of inquiries received and other interactions.

While all MWNUK activities contribute to the overall vision, we will focus more specifically on the following priority areas between 2012-2015:

1. Sharing understandings of gender in Islam from a human rights perspective
2. Sharing knowledge of UK family laws ; marriage and divorce
3. Changing attitudes to domestic violence against women
4. Changing attitudes to mental health
5. Changing attitudes to women’s leadership
6. Supporting actions to addressing forced marriages
7. Supporting to addressing child sexual abuse
